One year after leaving PSI, I have finally come back to the place which is not only familiar but also a little bit strange for me; it is an old environment with some new faces. Quickly, the cadres meeting which we had been arranging came. After thorough consideration, we finally chose Canvas Restaurant, which is located at Brightness Street, as the meeting place. We hope that the business of Pronology will be “bright” (as the “Brightness” Street) in 2013. Canvas Restaurant, what an artistic name! There are lots of paintings hung on the walls, making us become artistic too.
At the very beginning, God made a joke to us: the most important equipment, the projector, couldn't work, which cost us around half an hour to fix it finally. Then the meeting started. Firstly, our general manager, Gilbert, made a opening speech about the business review of 2012. The meeting host gave him only for half an hour. In this way Gilbert could save some energy for the rest of the meeting.
Sales department came secondly. Each sales representative reported in turn. Then King, the Sales Director, made some remarks additionally. All of them were very confident to show the future prospects for their own customers, and let us see the bright future in 2013, which was inspiring.
Next, the representatives from the procurement department, purchasing department, and IT department took turns giving their report speech. The goal of purchasing department was very obvious, which is to work better, more quickly and to get lower buying prices. Moreover, they aim to make longer payment term to suppliers by opening account within N days (Suppliers don't need to worry because we ALWAYS pay on time.) On the other hand, IT department promised to computerize every process, to upgrade the ERP system and to buy OA facilities. Let's wait and see.
When the lunch time came, this specious place was very bustling with the staffs. Then FAE, QC and Production Control department reported. Because Production Control department was expanded, the meeting host gave them longer speech time in order to let their Director and Supervisor gave additional speech in turn. Then it was the turn of Production department. This time SMT, DIP, System, and Electronic Engineering managers reported in turn, which was a good opportunity for the new managers. Production Director also made a remark that the production efficacy, quality and cost are always the best goals for Production department.
The funniest part brought by our experienced accountant, Yuan. He was very shy and nervous while reporting. It was strange that it was winter time and that the room temperature was comfortable with the air conditioner on, but he sweated a lot and used half box of tissue, which is not good for environment. The representative from Administration Department reported. Recruitment has always been the biggest headache. Hope the management of fixed asset will be much accurate while using ERP system.
Finally, for the business achievement and prospect in 2013, Gilbert mentioned that human beings worked hard for survival firstly, then worked hard for development, and lastly contributed to the society. Our mind should become more mature as the income, position and age advance, in order to achieve the balance for the inner and the outer. Besides, he also mentioned that there would be an automatized OA office scheme worked in the future, with which the staff can browse their personal profile such as attendance and seniority. Moreover, SMT department will be much highly mechanized. Those news made us more thrilled.
After the meeting, we had a great dinner together. Hope in the future that our cadres meeting can be held for two days as Pronology Taiwan, not only for two meals. We look forward to it!
